Allergy, unspecified SX – sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, dyspnea, anaphylaxis, N/V, angioedema of face and lips. PE – Heent (Conjunctivitis). Lungs (Wheezing). Skin (Hives, Flushing).
Next Steps
DX – usually based on history and symptoms and PE. CBC (inc eosinophils), inc IgE CT sinuses * Allergy testing (skin tests, RAST, audiometry)

TX – Allergy and Immunology referral. 1) Avoidance. 2) Meds. 3) Shots. Meds: • Antihistamines: diphenhydramine, hydroxyzine, loratidine, fexofenadine, cetirizine. • Decongestants (pseudoephedrine). • Mast Cell stabilizers (cromolyn sodium). • LT antagonists (montelukast, zafirlukast). Steroids: Flonase (fluticasone). Epinephrine Pen.
