Swelling near anus
Hello dr, my 14 month old baby is on iron and calcium supplements after which he is getting constipated passes Stool like hard pebbles starting followed by normal stool but he strains too hard while passing stool. I also observed swelling.can it be piles? Iam sharing the pic

Instead iron supplements you give iron rich food.calcium is more in milk.so no need for calcium supplement if constipation ramains.apparently photo don't look like piles which is rare in this age

Iron supplements can cause constipation.increase water intake and fiber.Regarding swelling need to examine the child directly.visit pediatrician

Iron syrup can cause constipation . Maintain hydration and Give fibre rich diet like fruits and vegetables more … Apple puree , spinach rice , carrot and beans Kichidi . It is not piles . And der is no swelling .

I dont see any swelling and piles are not common at this age. However if your baby is constipated by these supplements you might need to change them and changes in diet also need to be done
