Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Swelling post plaster is normal. There may also be stiffness and disuse muscle atrophy. All these will recover with knee exercises and weight bearing in 3-4 weeks.
Next Steps
Hot water compression will help. Medications like Enzomac, Tendocare will help.
