At her age, osteoarthritis of knee joint is the most probable cause. Do an X-ray of knee joint (AP & Lateral views). Meanwhile apply ice over affected joint followed by knee cap or crepe bandage application. If this fails to reduce pain, she may need painkillers.

Seems to be a case of osteoarthritis knee. Get x rays done. If it is diagnosed on x ray we can decide further management.
