Hi... You are experiencing signs and symptoms of depression and PTSD. Please consult a Psychiatrist and start taking Counselling Sessions from a Psychologist. You will need grief counselling and medication (if required) to overcome this guilt and get back to your life gradually. The nature of this virus is such that it searches a weaker host and then kills it and moves to another host to Survive. No one is responsible to carry the virus and this whole terminology is media/social media created. Being infected by a deadly virus unknowingly is not a crime. Govt. has declared a health emergency and passed acts to enforce nation wide lockdown just to prevent the spread of this virus, contain the Pandemic and buy time to arrange for medical health resources (hospital beds, ICU, oxygen, etc). We can't hold a particular person responsible for carrying the virus and infecting particular person around them. All this is assumptive and not absolutist. We can get infected even when we are following all covid appropriate behaviours. This virus impacts different people differently and we can't predict it's impact on a particular person. Your mind is inadequately connecting dots between the pain associated with your loss (mothers death) and the guilt, that is coming out of a typical human condition to find meaning and casualty in every given situation. We need to break this connection through therapy and medication (if required).

I am sorry to hear about your loss. What You are going through Grief and as a process , you are still in denial about the loss.
