Suntanned skin
I have an overall brownish skin colour while my mother is so fair. My cheeks, arms and hands and legs are of a darker shade probably as they remain exposed to the Sun. When I come from school, I look at myself in the mirror with only an underwear so as to see my complexion. I look so suntanned everyday and my cheeks appear so bright brown. One day my mother gave me a tight slap on my tanned cheeks. That's when I noticed how dark am I. I saw red finger marks on my brown skin in the mirror.

Darkness or tanning has nothing to do with the quality or beauty of the skin. People have different colour based on their genes and sun exposure.
