Greetings Common causes for dark circles and sunken eyes in children include genetics, nasal congestion from allergies or colds (known as "allergic shiners"), and thin skin which makes blood vessels more visible.Sunken eyes specifically can be a significant sign of dehydration, especially if accompanied by illness. Other contributing factors include fatigue from poor sleep, iron deficiency, or increased screen time.

Most commonly in a 9-year-old: • Allergic rhinitis (allergic shiners) • Poor sleep / screen time • Mild dehydration / less fluid intake • Nutritional factors (iron deficiency sometimes) Look for childs fluid intake, diet, any cold cough symptoms

Summer season so maintain hydration. If no other issues apart from this then it will help to control and avoid going out unless necessary when it's too hot between 12pm-4 pm
