Histopathology:Right posterior tonsillo-lingual sulcus biopsy:Gross: Received multiple greyish white soft tissue pieces together measuring 1.5X1.05 cm. All blocked in BX1104A/20.Micro: section from right posterior tonsillo-lingual sulcus biopsy shows multiple fragments of tissues malignant tumor arranged in sheets, nest & islands of large polyhedral cells with pleomorphic & hyperchromatic nuclei with prominent nucleoli. Individual cell keratinisation & occasional keratin pearls present. Mitotically active bizarre forms seen.Opinion:well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma right posterior tonsillo-lingual sulcus biopsy.CT scan: CECT NECT & CT- CHEST WITHOUT IV CONTRAST: Heterogenously enhancing mass lesion in the right posterior base of tongue & tonsiller fossa with relations and extentions and right cervical lymphadenopathy as described.Left upper lobe collapse with fibro atelectatic and calcific changes in bilateral lungs. Small 4X3mm nodule in postier basal segment of lower lobe.
