Sugar substitute jaggery
Hello Doctor, My baby is 10 and half months old. I got to know that sugar should not be given to babies below 1 or 2 years of age. So didn't introduced sugar as of now to my baby.  So can I substitute sugar with jaggery? Please suggest. Thank you.

Good morning!! It's good that you didn't introduce sugar till now. Try to avoid sugar as much as you can do as baby's taste buds are developed according to present taste. You can replace a little amount of jaggery with sugar but there isn't any benefit other than its taste.
