Suffering from cough and cold
My daughter is 5.5years old...from more than one week she is having dry cough... doctor gave her Alex ls and laveta m...after taking Alex ls...she is not having dry cough anymore.....seems like full of phlegum in her throat and chest...I consulted with another doctor..I told that she was having dry cough now she is having difficulty in cough out the phlegum..he gave her hhlinctus cough syrup for dry cough..augpen ds..montair lc..my question is now that she is not having dry cough...should I give her this cough syrup that is meant for dry cough..?pls reply ..m woried..Thank you...

This is normal proceeding of cough… it starts with dry cough and when our body rects for limiting infection it convert into productive one… cough usually take 7-10 days to resolve… If cough is not bothersome and occuring occasionally then no need to give excess cough syrups… Let immunity of child work
