Good day my Friend,  I can understand your concern With the symptoms you mentioned it must be a anxiety attacks . As body and mind are closely interconnected any such emotional disturbance can easily affect the physical functions like digestion issues,  sleeplessness,  short breath, nervousness, constipation, Period problems and many more.  The root cause behind all these is her anxious thoughts and overthinking. It need a holistic approach of medicine to control the panic attacks and supported by psychotherapy to slowly make her manage or control or divert such negative thinking. Feel free to reach me online for further assistance and suitable recommendation. Be positive.  She will be alright soon

Hi... The cause of her condition may be physiological, i.e., thyroid related or something else. Please first get her a thorough medical check up. What you have explained in the beginning looks like a panic attack but we can conclude that only when there is no other physiological cause associated with it. If nothing comes out in her medical check ups and doctors tells you that she is physically fine then it will suggest a psychological root and she will require Counselling/Psychotherapy.
Next Steps
Consult a Physician first and then a Psychologist
