Hi, I am sorry this is happening. I am sure this is tough. Sometimes when parents are stressed and children see them wheeling they develop they develop a trauma and may show the symptoms you’re talking about. However, given the limited information here we can only say so much right now. It could also be something else coming deep down from his own subconscious. We will have to explore it deeper.

It can stress induced mild frustration with depression. Many a times, children do capture the negative aspects from parents or familial surrounding very easily. It may disturb them subconsciously. It can be well treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine if required. Medicine depends on case to case.

Children are sensitive and trust others easily, anything sudden might have scary for them. Give a tight hug and assure him you take care of him.Dont express your irritation and helplessness when he continue tantrums. You have noticed that your house is not so friendly for him right? Bring the harmony,Take him to his favorite places and ask him slowly why he scared so much. Still not coming back then consult a child psychologist if necessary.
Next Steps
give him extra time, and love. spend more time with him.

Hi... What is the age of your son? Is he 38 year old? If yes, the case is bit complex and it is better to consult a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist. It appears to be a case of depression, but there might be some other issues underlying the presenting issues. Only after his proper assessment by a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist, it can be explained appropriately. If he is unwilling, you alone can consult a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist and discuss his condition in detail. Based on your information, further guidance will be provided.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist. CBT along with Interpersonal Relationship Counselling is required. Use of medications depends upon the severity of his symptoms and potential risks involved.
