Thank you for sharing your symptoms. Difficulty in swallowing solid or dry food along with throat discomfort in GERD should be evaluated carefully. Regarding your question: Sucrafil (sucralfate) can be taken along with PPIs and Nixocid, as they act differently. However, proper timing is very important. Sucralfate should ideally be taken 30–60 minutes apart from other medicines, preferably before food, because it forms a protective coating over the esophagus and stomach lining. Taking all medicines together may reduce their effectiveness. When used correctly, sucralfate is generally safe and does not usually cause serious side effects. However, persistent throat symptoms, sensation of food sticking, or difficulty swallowing solids suggest that this may be more than simple acidity. Conditions like laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), esophagitis, reflux-related inflammation, or motility issues need to be considered, especially when symptoms continue despite PPIs. Adding or increasing medicines without evaluating the root cause may give only temporary relief. From a homeopathic perspective, GERD with throat involvement is seen as a functional and inflammatory disturbance influenced by digestive weakness, nervous system sensitivity, stress, posture, eating habits, and emotional factors—which are very common in IT professionals. Homeopathic treatment focuses on: Reducing irritation and inflammation of the esophagus and throat Improving digestive strength and gastric emptying Addressing stress-related and nervous triggers of reflux Gradually reducing dependency on long-term acid-suppressing medicines Preventing recurrence rather than only suppressing symptoms Treatment is individualized, based on your specific symptoms, food tolerances, stress levels, sleep pattern, and overall constitution. Many patients experience improvement in swallowing discomfort and throat symptoms with constitutional homeopathic care. A proper consultation helps determine: Whether further investigations are required Correct medicine timing and necessity A safe plan to manage GERD long-term If you wish, you may consider a detailed consultation to understand your condition better and plan a personalized treatment approach. You may also go through patient reviews and video testimonials to help you decide confidently. Regards Health Global Homoeopathy, Vijaynagar, Bangalore www.healthglobalclinics.com

Hai, If you are suffering from gastro‑oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), there is no need to take sucralfate, as it is indicated for peptic ulcers. GERD results from relaxation of the lower oesophageal sphincter. If left untreated, GERD can progress to peptic ulcer disease. Proton‑pump inhibitors (PPIs) reduce gastric acid production. For any stage of gastritis or GERD, individualized homeopathic medicines—prescribed after a holistic assessment of the patient—offer a permanent cure for gastric complaints. This is the magic of homeopathy. So go with homoeopathy.

All these medicines are just temporary relief or hiding the symptoms of the disease. They will not cure. If the GERD continue then it can turn in to a major illness. I suggest not to take medicines without proper prescription. Consult and take proper treatment.
