I had an left ankle fracture abrasive over anterior aspect of Lt ankle. Doctor has advised me to use caste I don't want to have cast on my leg. Can anything substitute cast. Which can be removed when needed

You can try AIRCAST or AIRBOOT..which is essentially a removable device.
This is a substitute for a below knee case but ideally this unit should not be removed frequently as it may affect healing.

You can go for a fibre glass plaster which is colored and light weight and smaller in size.
