Substance formation, mild swelling &pain

Asked for Male, 37 Years

She has some white substance forming in corner of both the eyes since morning. Mild swelling in the left eye and pain, no etching or noticeable redness. Please suggest if this is due to some allergy or other reasons and could be it be contagious? Kindly suggest medication and course of treatment.
