Struggling with Subconscious Mind
I’m a 25-year-old guy. A year ago, I felt full of confidence and energy, but now I feel low on confidence, have no energy, and sometimes feel anxious, even a bit depressed. Before, I was an extrovert and had no fear in public, but now I feel nervous around people. I tend to overthink a lot, and I try to tell myself things like, 'You are strong, you are happy,' and at first it helps, but now it feels like a constant struggle. Please dr help me.

Hi Your loss of confidence, energy, and increased overthinking likely stem from unprocessed stress or emotional struggles. Positive affirmations alone won’t help if the root cause isn’t addressed. To rebuild confidence: 1. Identify triggers – When did this change start? 2. Challenge negative thoughts – Ask yourself why you feel this way. 3. Gradual exposure – Step into social situations little by little. 4. Check health – Sleep, diet, or deficiencies can impact energy. This phase isn’t permanent. Therapy can help you regain control. First, I want to acknowledge that what you're experiencing is valid, and you're not alone in this. Confidence, energy levels, and mood fluctuations can change due to various reasons—stress, lifestyle changes, emotional burnout, or even underlying anxiety or mild depression. The shift from being extroverted and fearless to feeling nervous around people and overthinking suggests that something in your environment, thoughts, or emotions has been weighing on you. Affirmations like "You are strong, you are happy" can provide temporary relief, but when deeper emotional concerns are unaddressed, they may start to feel exhausting rather than empowering. Instead of forcing positivity, the goal is to understand and address the root cause of these feelings.
Next Steps
Talk to a professional for guidance
Health Tips
You don’t have to go through this alone—seeking help is a sign of strength, and with the right support, you can regain your confidence and energy.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way; it sounds really challenging. It's not uncommon for young adults to experience fluctuations in confidence and mental health, especially during times of change or stress. The feelings of anxiety, low energy, and overthinking can be quite overwhelming, and it’s important to acknowledge that it’s okay to seek help. Consider talking to a mental health professional who can provide support and guidance tailored to your situation. Additionally, engaging in activities that you once enjoyed, maintaining a healthy routine, and connecting with supportive friends or family members can help you gradually regain your confidence and energy. Remember that progress takes time, and being patient with yourself is crucial. You’re not alone in this, and there are paths forward.
