Your left eye has become  amblyopic(lazy eye)&has led to development of squint, there is less or no vision in left eye,if it has been diagnosed in in childhood below 10-12 yrs of age , Vision of left eye could have been restored to normal  by pleoptic treatment which is not possible at this age
Next Steps
Now  you should know that after squint surgery in lazy eye ,it again resume the same position (Squinting)in  5 to 10yrs(anatomical position). If in childhood squint surgery could have been done after pleoptic treatment ,you could not have developed Squint again & would  have developed binocular vision which is must in most of government 's job .You take care of your child, some times it manifests in next generation, so get your child checked up before 8 yrs so that it's proper  management can be done at proper age.
Health Tips
You can go for cosmetic correction but it will not be long lasting, with regards  Dr Arjun kr Singh.

Hello.......The squint has to be evaluated and appropriate treatment given as early as possible. Muscle exercises can be helpful in treating a form of squints in adults in which the eyes cannot align themselves for close work or reading. Eye glasses with prisms can correct mild double vision associated with squints in adults.Eye muscle surgery is the most common treatment for squints.Only after examination doctor can schedule you for surgery. Consult ophthalmologist.
