Stopping breastfeeding for 2.3 year old
Hi Ped,
Off Late I have been trying to stop my 2.3 year old from breastfeeding.. tried home remedies of lemon, vinegar, neem. None of them worked. Hence the pediatrician suggested femite. It did work for a week, but she started to latch on again with femite applied...in fact she turned more rebellious now if I said milk is yucky n not to feed .... Kindly suggest any other ways to wean her off.
Fyi. I don't have family support, where I can leave her for few days.

Do it gradually. Stop one feed a week; reduce time of feed. Use distractions / do some other activity together with her at feed time
