I have been having diarrhea and stomach cramping from quite some time and I was told IBS And my stool test shows occult blood present.

Occult blood in STOOLS can be due various causes like bleed from gastric ulcers, variceal bleed, colon bleeds. All have different Treatment.

You must be having soft semiformed stool not diarrhea. History is not complete. IBS generally present with urgency after taking food and is a lower GI pathology whereas your occult blood may indicate an upper GI pathology that may be associated with you earlier problem.
