Stool greenish

Asked for Female, 1 Years

My 8 months old baby passing greenish stool. She cries sometimes during passing stool and fussing also . no blood. weight is 8 kg and she is active. She is having Brest milk 5/6 times , 3-4 times cerelac and lactogen.sometimes fruit .is this worrying ? does this food intake is fine ?

Greenish stool may be due to excess bile which is due to rapid transit in GIT. Dont worry.. its a temporary phenomenon.. will disappear as child grows.. check his weight. If around 8 kg nothing to worry. If less, then do a stool routine and microscopy to rule out malabsorption.
