Stone in the urethral tube
Doctor couldn't remove kidney stone through URS as the urethral tube is very thin. He has inserted a stent for 15 days and says that he will carry out another surgery after 15 days. What is your opinion?

Ureteric stone of < 6mm size pass down naturally in 30-45%of patients Indications for intervention Persistent pain Fever with chills Deterioration of Kidney function Vomiting Symptomatic management . Levoflox 500mg once daily x 5 days T.drotin 40 mg for pain T.veltam 0.4 mg daily night x 7 days

sometimes ureter is very narrow to negotiate ureteroscopy better to stenting is safe and good stenting cause dilatation of ureter and makes subsequent procedure easy and complications like ureteric injuries decreased
