I want to know how necessary is steroid injections during pregnancy for lungs growth.What could be side effects of steroids for mother and child.

Steroid injections are given during pregnancy for lung rmaturatio of foetus in case of preterm delivery and 2 doses of steroids for lung maturation is not harmful for mother or foetus. prolonged intake of steroids for any other disease may cause harm.
