Hi, yes the stem cells from umblical cord are used for stem cell transplant. It's called umblical cord transplant. Blood cancers and blood disorders are treated with it. It's usage and success depends on the amount of stem cells preserved and the quality of stem cells in the sample. Success depends on multiple factors. It is used in Western countries more often than india.
