Startled by noise
My 3.5 month old baby gets scared by  noise like laughing, dropping of something or sneezing...even when he is awake...is it normal???

startle reflex as it is called is normal phenomenon and also an indicator of perception of sound in new born baby. it may persist upto  4months and by 6month it shud completly disappear

a word of caution in interpreting the reflex. if any abnormal beyond just a moment of startle like too much stiffnes, persistent smile, drooling of saliva fo visit a pediatrician

Yes it's normal. As babies are grown silently in womb and even in womb get startled by sounds outside. Keep surroundings silent as far as possible.
