Spinal lipoma tethered cord
My new born baby facing the above problem. As we already consulted neurologist, they suggest us to do surgery once the baby grown more than a year. Here, my question is, i understood the problem but post surgery is what are the chances of recovery, and the problem may not perceipt again. Because he is just an 2 month old baby. I don't want to see him struggling with spinal problem in future. Please suggest us what to do on this problem?

If you do not get your baby operated, the baby might encounter more problem with the superficial subcutaneous/ exposed neurological elements in life. Better is to go for surgery and get that corrected. All surgeries are associated with risks. But today with advent of technology and surgeon skills , the incidence of complications are minimal.
