Spinal Anaesthesia
I have been recommended total hip replacement for right hip. Is the surgery possible under spinal anaesthesia? given that I am a patient of Ankylosing Spondylitis but its not advanced and spine is not fused. I fear general anaesthesia as I am quite weak and also have breathlessness issues. I have not been diagnosed with any other disease as yet.

You can try Mukherjee regimen for your Hip. You might be able to avoid hip replacement. Spinal anaesthesia can also be given. If you do plan to go for it , discuss with your Anesthetist before surgery
