Speech disfluency disorder

Asked for Male, 29 Years

Hi , My family member has an speech disfluency disorder caused due to anxiety.He has it 13%.He cant speak properly few words once in 10mins and also he gets stuck(blocks) .This was noticed only by few people.Few therapies were suggested for him.i just wanted to know whether it is curable or not.If so how long it might take?Your early reply will be helpful.

if anxiety is the root cause, triggers are need to be identified about what makes him anxious. He would need sessions with the therapist. he will overcome it. No. of sessions might depend upon severity and his response to therapy for any clarification or doubts consult me. all the best
