Asked for Male, 23 Years

Severe throat and chest infection Dr. has prescribed 500mg Clarithromycin once a day but it ain't getting better. Can I take it twice a day? The infection could possibly be pharyngitis because of the presence of granules in my throat.

You seem to be suffering from viral upper respiratory tract infection which is a common type of throat infection in this season. Clarithromycin needs to be taken twice daily. You may also need to take analgesics and antiseptic mouth gargle. Steam inhalation is also beneficial
