Last 27th an ENT surgeon told me to take cefpodoxime proxetil tablets twice a day due to lymph node infection. I have taken three tablets of which from yesterday till this morning. But my throat started hurting since yesterday afternoon. This morning while eating, I noticed that my throat was very sore. Can someone please tell me is this a side effect of the medicine? What should I do now, or should I take the medicine again?

It's not side effects of the medicines ,it's effect of the infection. continue the antibiotic, do gargles with betadine 10 ml diluted in half glass of water three times a day
