Asked for Female, 24 Years

I started having sore throat 10 days back and when I went for check up,aso titre was positive and was 200IU/Lit..so doctor prescribed me azithromycin 500 mg for 3 days.Now I don't have sore throat..Do I need to take medicine for strep infection?please suggest me

Since you have already taken antibiotics which are effective in streptococcal infections there is no need take any other antibiotics. If you are symptomatically better you can stop taking antibiotics. Your aso titre will decrease eventually
