Sore throat
Hello, I have a sore throat and it is pains when I try to swallow. The medicine I have is DoXcef 200 (cefpodoxime proxetil 200mg and potassium clavulanate 125mg). Can I use this tablet and what should be the dose. I am travelling abroad and hence I need the help Thank you

Hi doxycycline might not be useful...better go for Tab azithromycin 500mg once daily after lunch for 3days Tab pan 40 once daily before breakfast for 3days Tab lyser D once daily after lunch for 3days Along with the medications start saltwater gargling twice a day and steam inhalation

I would advise you to do salt water gargling, do steam inhalation with plain steam, avoid cold food and water, stay well hydrated and try to have a glass of hot water every hour.
