Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT.
The symptom profile is suggestive of a combination of Upper Airway Cough Syndrome (UACS), Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR), and possible underlying bronchial hyperreactivity or mild asthma. The evening predominance of symptoms with a choking sensation may also point toward nocturnal reflux or post-nasal drip triggering laryngospasm.
Next Steps
Continue current medications, especially:
Seroflo inhaler (as advised – maintain regularity)
Levolin inhaler (only during symptomatic episodes)
Montair LC at night for anti-leukotriene and antihistamine effect
Add:
Syp. Grilinctus-LS – 5 ml twice daily for 5 days to ease cough and throat irritation
Lifestyle & Supportive Measures:
Avoid late-night meals; keep a 2-hour gap between dinner and lying down
Elevate head end of bed if possible
Steam inhalation 2 times daily
Avoid irritants like strong perfumes, dust, and cold beverages
