Sore throat and nose block

Asked for Female, 40 Years

I get a feeling of sore throat n mild tightness with the feeling of cough between the lower throat and chest only in the evenings due to which i feel suffocated and choking sensation. I m taking seroflo and levolin inhaler, ventidox m, rablith d, allegra and montair LC. these tablets give me some relief but the symptoms have not stopped. Please suggest and prescribe some medicine.

Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT. The symptom profile is suggestive of a combination of Upper Airway Cough Syndrome (UACS), Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR), and possible underlying bronchial hyperreactivity or mild asthma. The evening predominance of symptoms with a choking sensation may also point toward nocturnal reflux or post-nasal drip triggering laryngospasm.

Next Steps

Continue current medications, especially: Seroflo inhaler (as advised – maintain regularity) Levolin inhaler (only during symptomatic episodes) Montair LC at night for anti-leukotriene and antihistamine effect Add: Syp. Grilinctus-LS – 5 ml twice daily for 5 days to ease cough and throat irritation Lifestyle & Supportive Measures: Avoid late-night meals; keep a 2-hour gap between dinner and lying down Elevate head end of bed if possible Steam inhalation 2 times daily Avoid irritants like strong perfumes, dust, and cold beverages
