You may be suffering from vaginal infection. These infections come on their own as their appearance depends on immunity. Vagina has a peculiar structure. It is open at one en and it is close dta other by the attachment to the uterus. This vagina has a thick coat of layer inside which sheds cells everyday. These dead cells can act like a culture and allow many bacteria, fungi etc to settle there. There are cells in the vagina which secrete chemicals to maintain the vaginal pH to normal range. If the pH changes, the vagina becomes vulnerable to getting infected. The most common vaginal infection is fungal infection which can cause the white stuff which you have noticed. It also causes itching and foul smell.
Next Steps
Meet a Gynecologist and get examined. The doctor may examine you and give you medicines for keeping in vagina or for oral intake. The intestines of any human also contain good bacteria called lactobacili, which can help the anal area and vagina to maintain its natural pH. Many other bacteria are also found in the intestines. When a person wipes the genital area from anus to vagina ( back to front ) this can carry harmful bacteria from anus to vagina and cause infections. Hence it is better to clean up from front to back.
Health Tips
Regualr intake of Curds or Yogurt can help healthy bacteria to colonise the intestines and vagina and hence this must be done to prevent recurrence of infections. If you are sexually active the infection can also come from the partner.
