Snoring & Deviated Septum
Hi There! I recently visited an ENT specialist and was diagnosed with DNS. Can anyone suggest if I should get septoplasty done? Will this resolve my loud snoring? I'm not facing any other issues apart from snoring. Snoring is so loud that it bothers my partner as well as family. 28M, 77kgs and Height is 5'7(~170cm). What should be my next approach? I've attached one snip which the doctor has given me. Thank you for helping!

The prescription mentions dryness of mouth , if you have this complaint, it signifies mouth breathing and nasal blockage. Do you have left nose block or both nose blockage early morning ? Do you get up in the night or have frequent night awakenings?

The surgery may resolve your snoring but is not definite. If u have any associated nasal obstruction , u can go for surgery
Next Steps
U can get DNE ( diagnostic nasal endoscopy ) and a ct scan

Snoring could be because of DNS Your weight seems adequate for your age and height You can get a septoplasty done, but can’t guarantee that your snoring will be resolved as snoring can occur due to other reasons as well But if snoring is way tooo much you can go ahead with the surgery and see if it resolves if not other systems have to be evaluated
