I suffer from a CHRONIC problem. An itching sensation starts in my nose, causing me to sneeze almost upto 100 times in an hour. The itching is severe and does not stop on its own. One of the doctors advised me to take CETRIZINE when such a thing happens. On taking CETRIZINE, the itching stops. But it starts re-occuring after 2-3 days. Another doctor advised me to use BUDENASE AQ nasal spray. But none of this ever worked. The problem continues to crop up every 2-3 days. What do i do??

Hi there. This is Dr SATYA KIRAN ENT Surgeon from Hyderabad. Ur history has classic features of nose allergy called as ALLEGRIC RHINITIS. symptoms aggravate on exposure to cold or dust. Sneezes of 100/ hr is an over exaggeration, but understand it's too severe.
NO CURE, ONLY TREATMENT WHICH CAN REDUCE THE SYMPTOMATOLOGY BY 90-95%. If someone says he can take allergy off u, it's s bluff. Be it allopathy or homeopathy or ayurvedic or anything.
Next Steps
need steroid nasal spray - steroid spray has been proved beyond doubt to be the safest & appropriate medication
better drugs than cetrizine available these days with less sedative effect
Health Tips
avoid cold & dusty environments
anti allergic measures depending on allergens specific to u
