Slow transit constipation and IBS
Hi doctor, I'm suffering from idiopathic slow transit constipation and IBS predominant constipation. May I know whether both are same or different..I have symptoms like bloating, indigestion, abdominal pain and constipation all time.. suffering from this pblm over 10 yrs.. daily constipation.. having raisins soaked in water and drinking plenty of water, having lots of fruits and vegetables..followed low fodmap diet. but no use.. please suggest whether surgery s needed in this case. I'm too stressed bcoz f this issue..unable to go to work I can't concentrate in my work.. it's horrible..   daily pooping only by digital evacuation..

No these are not same. You are symptoms suggest more of IBS related constipation. BUT SOMETIMES IT IS DIFFICULT TO DIFFERENTIATE AND SOME ADVANCED TESTS MAY BE NEEDED.
