Normally children develop speech and language skills in a specific pattern with age, which we call as developmental milestones. These milestones determine what skills a child is expected to attain at a particular age. Of course, every child is unique and shows different characteristics, hence we consider a wide age rage. The fact that you are concerned about his speech and language skills indicates that there is a problem. Because the innermost feelings that a parent has about their child is always right and should never be ignored. But to to understand how much it is and what is the best possible course of action you should take the professional opinion of a Speech Language Therapist. He/she will be able to map the development of the child and will also conduct sessions with you and the child.
