Your daughter achieved the mileage appropriately. But usually 2 to 5 years kids cn hv normal disfluencies or dvlpmntal stuttering due to: • Sudden language growth spurts. • Excitement or pressure to speak quickly. As u mentioned on questioning , she may be processing the question or feeling slight pressure to respond.
Next Steps
What u can do is speak slowly and pause before responding . • Avoid correcting or finishing her sentences. • Give her time and undivided attention when she talks. • Keep a relaxed and pressure-free communication environment. • You should note if this happens more in specific situations like stress, tiredness.
Health Tips
Normal/Transient if Disfluency varies with fatigue, excitement, or mood, speech is fluent at times; child is not aware or not distressed by it. CONSULT PEDIATRICIAN / SPEECH THERAPIST If: • Stammering persists beyond a few weeks. • Child shows frustration or awareness (e.g., avoids talking). • Family history of persistent stuttering. • Tension, facial grimaces, or abnormal breathing during speech.
