Since you were on clonazepam earlier and stopped, it’s understandable that you might feel tempted to restart it if anxiety returns, but restarting without medical supervision can be unsafe because this medication carries risks of dependence, withdrawal effects, and side effects.
Next Steps
Please reach out to your psychiatrist (or a new one if needed) and explain your past usage, current symptoms, and the fact that you tapered off. They will decide whether to reintroduce it, adjust the dose, or suggest alternatives.
Health Tips
While you wait for medical guidance, practice non-medication strategies like grounding techniques, deep breathing, exercise, and good sleep hygiene — these won’t replace medicine but can help you cope until you see a doctor.

Definitely you can be prescribed Clonazepam but prior to it, detailed assessment will be needed. As per symptoms profile and severity, medications will be prescribed and in follow up visits, medications will be gradually tapered

Hi, I know how hard it is when your body and mind crave what once gave relief. But I cannot prescribe medication, that’s only a psychiatrist’s role. What I can say is: don’t restart clonazepam on your own, it can bring dependence back quickly. Please reach out to your psychiatrist, explain your past use and current struggles they’ll guide you safely. You’ve already shown strength by tapering off; don’t undo that progress. You deserve healing that lasts, not temporary escape.
Next Steps
Here’s what I’d suggest, gently but firmly: Book an appointment with your psychiatrist, be open about your symptoms and your past clonazepam use. In the meantime, use grounding tools slow breathing, short walks, journaling to calm your nervous system. Keep a sleep and mood diary; it helps your doctor see the full picture. Lean on someone you trust don’t carry this weight alone. You’ve already proven you can step down from the medication. Now the next step is building healthier, lasting ways to cope.
Health Tips
Breathe slow, steady. Limit caffeine. Keep a calming night routine. Move your body daily. Write worries down before bed. Stay connected, don’t isolate. Seek help early, not late.

Clonazepam can't be prescribed without checking your symptoms and medical history. Sleeping issues can be caused by several things included physical and mental health. Please talk to a doctor, best is talking to a psychiatrist and let them treat you.
