Sleep apnea & snoring
I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism 14 years back and suffer from chronic sleep apnea and heavy snoring. While breathing out instead of coming out from nose air coming out from mouth. causing heavy snores. I was advised to consult ENT Surgeon. Looking for good ENT surgeon.

Hi there I understand your concern and anxiety... You have not given information about hypothyroidism...thyroid imbalance can also affect sleep...so treatment of hypothyroidism is first priority here...treatment is mainly by replacing thyroid hormones by thyroxin tablets in appropriate dose...Certain lifestyle changes can be helpful like reduction of weight since obesity is associated with sleep apnea. Surgical options are available in certain centres... Kindly visit a sleep clinic if available in your place, if there is no availability of such thing consult a ENT specialist for further management.
