The way I manage acne is - treatment has multiple stages - to control new breakouts, to clear the sequelae (pigmentation and scars) and to prevent a relapse. Each phase takes a couple of weeks before entering the next phase of treatment. A very comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan helps in clearing the acne and its stigmata. All the best.
