Skin pigmentation on Forehead and neck
Hi Doctor, I have been diagnosed Panic disorder 2 years back. I am taking lonazep 1 mg daily once from past 1 year. I feel I am perfectly fine now. However unable to quit lonazep. Also I have noticed Skin  pigmentation on forehead and neck recently from 4 to 5 months. May I know is this because of lonazep intake. If yes, any alternative remedy to solve skin problem, since I am unable to quit lonazep.

Lonazep is not likely to cause skin pigmentation. U might decrease it's dose o.125 mg slowly over time and might be able to quit

Consult a dermatologists. Constant consumptions of lonazep can lead to dependency which can be harmful in later life. If u really want to come out of ur panic symptoms and at the same time ur lonazep dependency u can visit a clinical psychologist. Panic disorder can be manageable with simple psychotherapy without long term medications. But sometime because medications give a quick relief from symptoms people develop dependency. But its harmful in other way. Clinical psychologist can help u in this regard with their expertise. But before going to a professional u must ask a question to urself...do u have tolerance to face ur problem and come out of it?
Next Steps
consult a registered clinical psychologist
