I ve skin irritation at the vaginal area . It's on the periphery and nothing inside . Looks like a fungal infection . No secretions or odour. Only White patchy dry areas . Should I consult a dermatologist or an STD specialist? The area was icthy a week back . But now there's no itch .

Dear Ma'am,
You need to consult a Gynaecologist for a detailed history and a thorough clinical examination. In the meanwhile, please use simple vulval hygiene measures like avoidance of excessive soaps, perfumes, hair removal creams, keeping the area clean dry, wearing loose-fitting and frequent underwear changes.
Regards,
Aditi
