Skin cut and tetanus
I've been worrying about tetanus lately. My younger sister gave a deep cut with her dirty nails while casually fighting. I've heard that tetanus can come from dirt when you bleed over it. Should I take a tetanus shot? I've attached a photo of the cut. I took one injection 5 months ago over a cut from barbed wire, how long are tetanus injections valid for? Thanks.

Once a Tetanus injection is taken in an adult it will be effective for 5 years. Since you have taken it 5 months back there is no need to take it now. For practical purposes it is more than enough if Tetanus is given for an injury if the last one was given more than 2 years back.
