Hello I'm Dr Nikita Iyer. Sinusitis presents with a number of complaints like recurrent headaches, facial fullness, nasal blockage etc. If sinusitis is occuring due to allergic triggers then in that case a course of antihistaminics and nasal sprays would be effective but symptoms would recur when exposed to allergens. So apart from medical management even lifestyle modifications are to be done.
Next Steps
In case of a definitive treatment, functional endoscopic sinus surgery helps as it would widen the drainage paths of the sinuses this preventing any discharge accumulation hence no facial heaviness. However, despite doing a surgery you would have to take care of your nose with regular nasal washes and toiletting as well as checking in with your ent doctor.
Health Tips
Ensure you avoid allergens. wear a mask when needed visit your ent doctor for further evaluation and medications

Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT Chronic sinusitis can often be controlled long-term, though complete cure depends on the cause. If you’re allergic to antibiotics, treatment focuses on nasal saline irrigation, steroid nasal sprays, allergy control, and sometimes endoscopic sinus surgery if medical therapy fails.
