Sigmoid diverticulum in TMJ MRI report
Have constant pain in the lower jaw under ear lobe and neck for 14 months now.  I have clicking and grating sound in the jaw. Only on the right side. Have seen many dentists and doctors. No definite answer yet. Constant sore and burning pain in the lower jaw under ear. My jaw/mouth deviates to left side in closed position. I have sensitivity and soreness  on lower molar tooth  for tapping and biting pressure on it. Had root canal and still same symptoms. Have been told to check if it's Neuralgia before Extracting tooth. No issues in xray or CT scan of tooth. But it hurts for biting pressure. So dentist want me to check if it's nerve pain or TN before Extracting it. Have seen an Oral surgeon tmj specialist and he sent me for an MRI.report says incidental possible small sigmoid bulb venous diverticulum. What is it mean?Is this something serious? How is it treated? ls this the reason for my jaw and neck pain? do I have TN? have tried Carbamazepine, Cymbalta, amitriptyline. no relief.
