Hello Doctor,
I want to inform you about a side effect I am experiencing with Flunil 40 mg. After taking the 40 mg dose, I feel a sharp burning/pain-like sensation below my throat and in the upper chest area. It feels like a sharp pain, but it usually lasts for around 30 minutes after taking the medicine and then settles down.
Around 6–7 months ago, I experienced the same problem when I was taking Flunil 40 mg. At that time, I consulted at J.J. Hospital, and when the dose was reduced to 10 mg, this problem stopped.
Now, I have started taking Flunil 40 mg again as advised by a Practo doctor, and the same throat and upper chest pain/burning sensation has started again. I do not feel stomach irritation; the problem is mainly in the throat and upper chest area after taking the 40 mg dose.
Please advise whether this could be a side effect of the dose and whether any change is needed.
