Can you please let me know which part of the body is affected? If small joints are affected such as wrist, fingers, toes etc then it could be rehumatoid airthritis or if larger joints are affected such as hip, Knee then it could be osteoarthritis . Please get a blood test to rule out rehumatoid airthritis. In such cases physiotherapy can surely help along with some isometric exercises for strengthening .
