Is it ok to shave/trim completely the hairs of a golden retriever? A local vet suggested me to do so because he thinks my golden retriever has a skin problem because of which she is scratching a lot.

As a part of treatment protocol it is often required to to trim the hair for the effective penetration and application of topical medicines
