Shaving off Golden Retriever
Is it ok to shave/trim completely the hairs of a golden retriever? A local vet suggested me to do so because he thinks my golden retriever has a skin problem because of which she is scratching a lot.

Since summers are coming I do not advise to shave completely.. It can lead to further damaging the skin more.

Trimming is always fine for breeds with long fur, but shaving them is not advisable. Shaving may cause skin damage and irritation.

As a part of treatment protocol it is often required to to trim the hair for the effective penetration and application of topical medicines
There are no harm or issues doing it.
