The problem you describe is treatable in many cases and is not necessarily permanent. Difficulty maintaining an erection during attempted penetration is a common form of erectile dysfunction (ED). Since you have type 2 diabetes (currently in remission) and are taking medication for high blood pressure, there may be a physical component, although psychological factors such as performance anxiety can also contribute—especially when there is concern about penile size or first intercourse. Regarding the micropenis, it is important to distinguish between a true micropenis (which has a specific medical definition) and a penis that is simply smaller than average. Even men with a smaller penis can often have satisfactory sexual intercourse if they achieve a firm erection. Therefore, the priority is to identify and treat the cause of the erection problem.
Next Steps
A consultation with us is recommended for a comprehensive evaluation. Your diabetes and blood pressure should continue to be well controlled, as good vascular health is essential for erections. Review all your medications with your doctor, although Eritel (telmisartan) is generally less likely than many other blood pressure medications to cause erectile dysfunction. For personalized assessment, better guidance, and a holistic treatment approach for erectile dysfunction, you may connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5.
Health Tips
Continue maintaining your healthy lifestyle to keep your diabetes in remission. Exercise regularly, sleep 7–9 hours each night, avoid smoking and excessive alcohol, and communicate openly with your partner to reduce performance pressure. Many men with ED improve significantly once the underlying cause is identified and treated. Therefore, your condition is often treatable and should not be assumed to be permanent, even if it has been affecting your relationship. Thank you

Thank you for sharing this — I understand this is a deeply personal concern affecting your relationship, and it is important to address it honestly and medically. There are two separate issues here that need to be addressed together. First, the erectile dysfunction (ED): the inability to maintain an erection sufficient for intercourse is very common in Type 2 diabetes, even in patients in remission. Diabetes damages the small blood vessels and nerves that supply the penis, leading to ED — this is called diabetic vasculogenic or neurogenic ED. Your blood pressure medication (Telmisartan/Eritel) is actually one of the more sex-friendly BP medications and is unlikely to be causing this. Performance anxiety — which develops naturally when erection difficulties arise — also worsens the problem in a cycle. The good news is that ED is highly treatable: medications like Sildenafil (Viagra) or Tadalafil (Cialis) are very effective in diabetic patients and can be taken before intimacy under medical supervision. Second, regarding the micropenis: this is a distinct condition usually related to lower-than-normal testosterone levels or hormonal issues. Your testosterone, LH, FSH, and prolactin levels should be checked — if testosterone is low, treatment can help both penile dimensions (to some extent) and erection quality significantly.
Next Steps
Consult a Urologist or Andrologist for a comprehensive evaluation. Get your testosterone, LH, FSH, prolactin, and HbA1c tested. Both the ED and hormonal aspects are treatable — please do not lose hope. Do not self-medicate with ED pills without a doctor's guidance. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

Based on your symptoms, this condition is treatable in many cases, but the treatment depends on identifying the underlying cause. Diabetes (even if currently in remission), high blood pressure, stress/performance anxiety, hormonal problems, blood vessel disease, or certain medications can all contribute to erectile dysfunction. Having a small penis (micropenis) does not necessarily mean you cannot have satisfactory sexual function if erections are adequate.
Next Steps
Consult a urologist/andrologist or sexual medicine specialist for a proper evaluation. Get investigations such as: Fasting blood sugar & HbA1c Serum testosterone (morning sample) Lipid profile Thyroid function (TSH) some medication have some contribution in ED Maintain good control of blood pressure, weight, blood sugar, and exercise regularly. Avoid smoking, excessive alcohol, and recreational drugs. If performance anxiety is present, counseling or sex therapy can be very helpful.
Health Tips
Do kegal exercise take healthy diet avoid stress, all packed food, fast food
